World War Two Day - Year 6

Year 6 looked rather different when they arrived at school on 7th February. They came dressed as evacuees, escaping the threat of The Blitz in London during World War Two.
Everyone had a packed lunch in a brown paper bag for the 'journey' and an assortment of teddies came to provide the 'poor little children from London' with some comfort as they had no idea where they would be billeted for their stay in 'the country'. There were plenty of experiences: new teachers, new classrooms, new food, gas masks and registration documents to contend with.
Thank you to all the adults, staff and parents, who prepared for and helped on the day, without whom it would not have been such a great experience for our Year 6 children.

Enjoy looking at the pictures below.
