Congratulations to the Chamber Choir!

Fantastic news from Beckenham Festival of Music. The Deansfield Chamber Choir won the Unison Singing Cup again and came second in the Junior Choir Class.
Well done, everyone!

Remarks from the adjudicator:

When I grow up by Tim Minchin:
This choir makes a lovely, well integrated sound: soft at the opening, and yet with the possibility of growing into a rich fullness.
I heard all the words, which is unusual - so well done with that! The final pianissimo verse was reallly lovely, and that led to a splendid ending with a good soloist and cheeky final actions.

Chattanooga Choo-Choo:
Lovely woirds and a splendid variety of vocal colours, sometimes piano and confidential, sometimes louder and forthright. Every singer was seen to be pulling their weight in this excellent rendition. What a lovely final build-up to the climax, on the repeated "Chatanooga Choo-Choo".

In this class the choir received 91 marks - a distinction.
