Bringing the rain to Kapiti Plain

On a blowy and wet day in England Class 2P transported us to the plains of Africa. Specifically to Kapiti Plain where the people, plants and animals were suffering from a lack of rain. The class dramatised the story 'Bringing the rain to Kapiti Plain' by Verna Aardema and found out how a feather dropped by an eagle and picked up by Ki-Pat helped to end the drought.
The class had worked hard to learn the words to the story and also to a song which ended the assembly and their audience were very appreciative.
Well done, 2P!
